I have to apologize, I have no pictures to upload today. The week just went by too quickly and before I could think about it, I had already reached my deadline and I had to write the blog. I will ensure to include a couple of pictures in next weeks' edition.
It is the Fourth of July weekend in the United States and we would have loved to have been home, enjoying all those BBQ's and fun in the sun.
We handed in our notice to the Rental Management Office to let them know that we will not be extending our lease agreement that expires in September. Our plans are still set to vacate the apartment at middle September from where we will be going to the hotel until we depart India.
Teresa had Friday off and will be off again on Monday and will be going for a half day Spa Treatment on Monday afternoon at the ISTA Hotel. The Spa treatment will include a Earth Stone Massage, Foot treatment and a facial. She will also enjoy a fruit platter next to the pool half way through the treatment.
We finally got to explore the new SPAR on Friday after a nice lunch at Beyond Coffee. The SPAR opened up in Banjara Hills earlier the week and it is a nice shop. The butcher section surprised me the most and not just because it was still nice and clean but also the variety available. The butcher section is divided into sections, the first section is the lamb, chicken and rabbit section, yes rabbit of all meats! You then have a fish section where they had all types of prawns and calamari available. In an area that was totally separate from the previous section they have a deli section and a beef section. Not sure if it is real beef or just water buffalo but we might try it out sometime.
Our day did not look very much different on Saturday than on Friday, we went for lunch at Beyond Coffee and then went back to the SPAR. We only took a quick look see trip to the SPAR on Friday and went back Saturday for a more detailed shopping trip. We should have just bought everything on Friday since they were extremely busy on Saturday but we still got everything we needed. We met up with friends at Via Milano on Saturday evening and had a very nice time. The food was really good as always and we got to meet another expat and it is always fun meeting new people.
There is not much to report on today, Ahmed took the day off and we decided to just stay indoors. We did some cleaning but mostly just hang around.
